"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

The Lord’s doing at PAC

Realizing a dream that had been prayed for for many years, Pasay Adventist Church (PAC) held the groundbreaking ceremony of Jesus and Maria Co Multi-purpose Building project on May 12, 2009 at the Basketball Court, PAC Grounds, Pasay City. It was a momentous event that was ever attended by leaders of union, conference, PAC, Pasay City Academy, PAC Elementary School (PACES), and representatives from Manila Adventist Medical Center and Colleges, Inc.

"It's not very often that we are called to witness great occasions like this", Reynaldo Biscaro, head elder of PAC said. "Psalm 118:23 says, ‘This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes'. By God's grace the building that will rise on this site will create a big impact in the Adventist community and in the lives of those who will enter its doors."

JMCM building is a providential project realized through generous persons who saw the need of PAC and gladly fulfilled this need. This multi-million building will house excellent facilities for offices, lecture rooms, counseling rooms, prayer rooms, breakout rooms for small groups, pastoral/caretaker house, seminar hall, and a multi-purpose auditorium. Thus, this project further equips PAC and Adventist church as a whole in responding to the challenge of finishing the Lord's work in the metropolis.

Pastor Carmelito Galang, Jr., president of Central Luzon Conference, cited the prayer of Jabez in his message. He underscored the power of prayer in any undertakings. And praise God for the kindness and benevolent gift of this building project's benefactors.

"To God be the glory for this worthwhile building project. As your union leaders, we will work hand in hand and fully support PAC in this endeavor. Let us remember ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it' Psalm 127:1", message of Pastor Abner Roque, president of the North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC).

Pastor Nepthali Mañez, executive secretary of NPUC, offered the dedicatory prayer before the groundbreaking ceremony. In his prayer, Pastor Mañez besought God's blessing and guidance as this building is being constructed and that this building will be a monument of God's love, faithfulness, and salvation.

Everyone was invited for a fellowship lunch sponsored and graced by the benefactors at the PACES Grade II room after the ceremony.

All of these have been the Lord's doing and it is only an infinite God who can accomplish what can be built at PAC. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
