"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

CCC Antipolo Chapter In Action

The Christian Couple Circle (CCC) Antipolo Chapter in Rizal 5 District under the leadership of Joey De Ocampo conducted a grand Renewal of Marriage Vows officiated by Pastor Jose Zabat, Jr., CLC Family Life Ministries director together with his wife Mary Jane last April 5 at Sienna Catering Hall, Antipolo City at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

Twenty four couples had an exchange of marriage vows once again to keep the marriage candle and love burning. The theme of the celebration was ‘sweeter as the years go by'. Couples participated in this event affirmed that as Christ' love for a sinful man goes sweeter as the days go by so shall a Christian marriage be. And that amidst trials and challenges in marriage, a genuine Christian couple must always think of marriage as the most important human relationship on earth instituted by God since creation.

The occasion was graced by Soliman and Lyne Dilag; and Samuel and Leila Antonio of Pasay Adventist Church (PAC) CCC Chapter, who served as ninongs and ninangs for all the couples. A reception program followed after the ceremony where some of the couples shared their love stories, tips for a successful marriage as well as their dramatic and funny experiences. The occasion was full of fun and precious lessons to learn.

To reminisce, CCC is an organization under the Family Life Ministries of PAC. Couples' Retreat is held annually in February for the past 25 years. CCC Pasay extended their invitation to couples outside PAC as far as in Bicol, Northern Luzon, and in adjacent churches such as Manila Center, Marikina and Antipolo Center Church. Romy and Bing Manalansan of Antipolo Center Church were invited by couples from Marikina Church in the year 2005 to join the couples' retreat in Tagaytay . Romy and Bing enjoyed these retreats so much that they have not failed to attend one ever since. The couple were inspired to gather together couples of Antipolo Center Church and organize their own CCC chapter. Some of the active couples from CCC Pasay namely Soliman and Lyne Dilag, Samuel and Leila Antonio, Mr. & Mrs. Eufe Tantia, Sr., Felino and Vecelina Tan have work together in the official organization of CCC Antipolo last May 6, 2006 with Romy and Bing Manalansan as the president for the first year.

Major annual activities then were held such as the first year anniversary celebration last May 13, 2007, the Couples' banquet last March 3, 2008 and the grandest Renewal of Marriage vows last April 5 this year under the leadership of Amos and Imee Valenzuela being this year's president. And last May 17, 2009 at Lores Country plaza Badminton court, a tournament this time was officially opened and will end this June 28. Prior to the said event, couples were already playing badminton for fun and for their physical fitness during Sundays and holidays for almost a year and it will continue in the future. Praise be to God! Couples of Antipolo Center have become more united, supportive of each other and more spiritually mature.

CCC Antipolo is now one of the most active groups in the church and a very effective tool used by God to build and maintain devoted and fulfilled Christian couples. Let us pray that the precious virus of CCC will reach every Adventist couples in all churches.
