CLC workers hear this prompt as evaluation 2010 begins
by Armon Peres Tolentino
The Central Luzon Conference (CLC) workers conducted worship with the officers of the North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC)Jan. 13, 2010 with the union conference's ministerial secretary as speaker to start the evaluation this year.

Reading from Paul. Pastor Francisco Gayoba, North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC) ministerial secretary, reads the Bible's 1 Corinthians 4:1-5 on the first day of the Central Luzon Conference (CLC) evaluation. The workers were prompted that they are servants and stewards.
Pastor Francisco Gayoba centered his devotional message on two aspects-servant leadership and stewardship-that must be possessed by denominational workers whatever circumstances they face.
"No matter what we experience, let us not forget who called us," Gayoba said. "We may experience ups and downs but let us not forget that we are servants of God."
According to Gayoba Adventist church leaders must understand that they are stewards and not owners of the mysteries of God. This means that leadership is neither for popularity nor an obligation to the church constituency but accountability to God.
"We are democratic but we are still not a democracy where power resides in people," Gayoba emphasized. "We are not a democracy because in our church, power resides only in God."
Salary audit and advanced interviews become the focus of the first day of NPUC's visit at CLC while the evaluation proper happens on Jan. 14.
