"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

40 scout rangers become Adventists

According to the evangelistic team at Camp Tecson, Tartaro, San Miguel, Bulacan when the Holy Spirit works, everything just goes all right' as 40 scout rangers decide to become members of the Adventist denomination on Jan. 21, 2010 in Madlum River.

The meetings which started las t October 9, 2009 transformed the young and brave soldiers who have just graduated from long months of painstaking training to defend the Philippine Constitution and led themto accept and submit their lives to God. They promised to follow Jesus Christ wherever they will be assigned.

Sgt. Emilio Ke-e, who made his commitment to the Lord to share the gospel of Jesus to his co-soldiers even at difficult situations, expressed his thankfulness.

"I am still at a loss of words to say how indeed God has been so kind to us, imagining we were able to share God's gospel in this training camp," saidteary-eyed Sgt. Ke-e."Without the aid of the Holy Spirit for sure we can not do this effort. Thinking the severity of the rules and regulations being implemented in this camp, but everything goes well."

The newly babtized members aired the joy they felt after the ceremonies.

"I'm so happy that in this place I found Jesus as my personal Savior," said Pvt. Emmanuel."I do believe that God has arranged this opportunity of training so that I will know Him."

"I'm so thankful because I have now an assurance that even though I will walk on the valley of death God will be my Shepherd," said Pvt. Ceasar E. Mendoza.

"Though seemingly the work is hard, but when you are dedicated and committed to do the work of the Lord, He will show you His kindness and miraculous ways," agreed Pre- Intern Cet Magas, associate speaker of Pastor Geronimo M. Viernes, Jr.

"Hope you can continue to make a strong impact morally and spiritually to our soldiers here," said a concerned enlisted personnel.

This effort was fully supported by San Miguel Adventist Church, San Ildefonso Adventists Church and other members of the district. As of this writing Bible Studies are still on going and more soldiers have yet to decide for Christ as their personal Savior.
