The Adventist Photographers Club (APC) headed by Mr. Ruwen T. Verdaguer, President of APC, conducted a General Assembly & Photography Seminar held at Southern-Asia Pacific Division (SSD), San Miguel II Bypass, Aguinaldo Highway, Silang, Cavite on May 22, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the objective of this event is to organize talented members, help in making positive Adventist image, assist in news photography and most of all to bring back the glory of God—the Greatest Artist of all.

The event started with Pastor Sherman Fiedacan, Communication Department OIC, as devotional speaker. Many were blessed by the lectures that were being shared by the resource speakers from the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF). They are: Joey Tañedo, UP College of Fine Arts; Reynaldo Castañeda, Professor of De la Salle; Erwin Noche, Professor of De la Salle College of St. Benilde; Lito Beltran, FPPF). The highlights of the event are: Overview on Photography, Introduction to Lighting & Basic Digital Workflow and On-the-Spot Photo contest on Landscape & Portraiture.

The participants were given an hour for the On-the-Spot photo contest. Despite the drizzle, they enjoyed roaming around the vicinity to capture good entries for the contest. After careful evaluation from the lecturers, they’ve decided the winners of the contest.

The attendees are very thankful for the new insights that they’ve learned from the seminar.
