"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

S.A.M. Celebrates its 13th Anniversary

The Samahan ng mga Adbentistang Mang-aawit at Musikero (SAM) held it's 13th Anniversary Concert in Music Ministry last April 25, 2009 at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Themed "A Glimpse of Heaven," SAM solo artists and various local church choirs united in concert. Almost 4,000 brethren came to celebrate with SAM and this made the event different from the previous anniversaries.

In the Adventist music history in the Philippines, this was the first time that in one Sabbath worship more than 500 choir members participated from various local churches. Among the participating choirs were the Young Ambassador (48 members), PPH Church Family Choirs (48), Sampaloc Youth Choir (28), Reyon Solire Choir (32), Streams of Light (38), Novacoustic Choir (21), GMA SDA Choir (20), Friends (20), Agape Choir (28), Young Voices (46), Higher Ground Singer (26), Moonlight Hymnaires (20), Psalmist (21), The Nizirites Agono SDA Choir (26), Pasay Adventist Church Choirs (33), MAMC Church Choir (26), Intervoices (18), Gagalangin SDA Church Choir (24).

These singers were inspired by the thought that in heaven they would continue singing songs of praises to God as revealed in Revelation 14:3 which says "and they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth."

"I felt that God really worked in us through music because the Anniversary Concert was indeed a success," SAM member testified.
