"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

ACS Receives Outstanding Recognition Award

The governor of Bulacan and the top officials of the Department of Interior and Local Government  gave the Recognition Certificate and Medal Award to the Bulacan Federation of Adventist Community Services (ACS) recently during the commemoration of the yearly Bulacan Awards Program for Barangay Innovation and Excellence.

From Left to Right- Dr. Edel Guiza, Asian Institute of Management professor; Mr. Rolando B. Cimafranca,  ACS Bulacan Federation president; Hon. Ronaldo Puno, DILG Secretary and Rescue 117 Chairman.

This was the second time that ACS volunteer group in Bulacan of the Central Luzon Conference (CLC) territory received this prestigious award under the able leadership of Rolando B. Cimafranca, ACS Bulacan Fededation president. The Award Day was a part of the Singkaban Festival of Bulakenyos held last Sept. 8-15. The keynote speaker of the Gawad Galing Barangay 2009 Awarding was DILG Secretary Ronaldo Puno. Together with Gov. Joselito Mendoza of Bulacan Province, Secretary Puno handed the certificate and medal to ACS Bulacan Federation.
The CLC leadership of Pastor Carmelito Galang Jr. supports the ACS department under Pastor Jose Zabat Jr., who in turn encourages ACS volunteers to work hard in community services to bring the love of Jesus Christ. As of this time, there are 7 adopted barangays in Area IV (Bulacan) and many interested barangay officials are asking to avail the program of ACS. Indeed a great challenge is facing ahead of the ACS volunteers since Bulacan province has 589 barangays alone and the population is 2.9 million people.

Meanwhile, the Area IV ACS Federation officers to serve until 2011 are as follows: President, Rolando B. Cimafranca; Secretary, Ely Latuga; Treasurer, Luciano V. Dela Cruz Jr.
