"A child's glory is his father." Proverbs 17:6b (TLB)

There are many ways to measure success; not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

Meycauayan conducts happy family Bible seminar

A happy family Bible Seminar sponsored by the Children Ministries Department (CMD) of the Central Luzon Conference (CLC) and Meycauayan Church was conducted in Meycauayan Seventh-day Adventist Church last November 27 to December 5.

With CMD-CLC Director Josie Felda Calera as main resource speaker and, Education Department Assistant Supervisor Emelita Macatiag as alternate speaker, the seminar was well-attended with school teachers and staff headed by Elogenia Contridas, church officers and members, and their invited friends and relatives.

Pastor Tony Salarza and the church elders assured regular Bible study was given in places where interests reside-Bayugo, Heritage Subdivision, Malhacan and Bignay.

The Women Ministries Department organized a medical clinic on December 4, through the leadership of Dra. Nena Guerrero with a health lecture for three nights provided by Hannah Marquez, health and temperance leader. This was a family affair as patients/attendees ranged from infants to oldies regularly attended the nightly presentations.

From the 15 candidates, 13 were baptized last December 5 after the thanksgiving celebration themed "Reminiscing 84 years of God's Blessing," where around 250 people listened the guest speaker, Pastor Ephraim M. Parulan of Philippine International Church (PIC).

An hour after the ceremonies, a newly baptized pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl whom the couple decided to name after the nightly speakers.

About 10 still need some time to deeply study the Bible and the Adventist teachings to fully accept Christ in baptism.

All throughout the seminar, the "Friends for Life" singers had been tapped to sing and Larry Gubat, a church elder, had stood as presider.
