Adventists culminate ‘Love in Action 2015’

Posted April 15, 2015 • By Communication Department

Last February 21, Adventists from Area 4-10 gathered in Quezon Memorial Circle for the victory celebration of the month long community services.

That Sabbath afternoon was a joyous occasion to praise and glorify God for delivering success to the local churches which participated in the three consecutive Sundays of rendering services like Clean-up drives, child feeding, and free health services.

The event kicked off with praise songs from different groups. CLC president Pastor Romeo Mangiliman gave the opening remarks followed by testimonies and greetings from Adventist public personalities. Former Congressman Al Ignatius Lopez inspired the attendees through his life transformation story while Northern Samar District 1 Representative Cong. Harlin Abayon and his wife Daryl Grace stated their support to the Seventh-day Adventist Church programs.

Brethren were delighted to spend the Sabbath witnessing to people and displaying God’s love in us.“Bilang isang Adventist, masaya ako dahil naging matagumpay ang gawain natin. Magaan sa loob… ganoon pala ang pakiramdam kapag nakakatulong sa ibang tao, lalo na sa hindi natin kapananampalataya. Salamat sa Panginoon!” one of the attendees said.

The Love in Action commenced last February 2014 as part of the Hope Manila 2014:iCare activities. The first victory celebration was held at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila participated by more than 20,000 Adventists and special guests.

Sabbath School and Personal Ministries director Pastor Jose V. Zabat, Jr. thanked everyone for the joint success of the month-long activity.

The affair capped off with joyous singing of the victory song “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and by sending off balloons in air as a symbol of gladness and triumph.
