CLC Music Ministries hold Leaders' Empowerment

Posted June 3, 2017 • By Josie Felda A. Calera, CLC Music Ministries Coordinator

The true manifestations of a good relationship with the Savior affect someone’s perspective in life. Likewise, musical expressions entice and even change the personal viewpoints of an individual. Thus, when a confusing scenario happens in the congregational singing of the church or in any musical renditions, expect to have a shriveled atmosphere in the life of the worshippers.

The Central Luzon Conference Music Ministries is continuing its passion to empower leaders to ensure that praise and worship in the church can influence or edify a Christian’s life to be more closer to God in a heavenly-spirited manner. As Psalm 104:33 says, “I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” Beyond doubt, music then is entwined thru the bloodstream of each Adventist Christian that even amidst complexities, we still proclaim God’s goodness in singing—now and hereafter.

Two hundred eight (208) leaders and musicians, divided into four groups according to their voices – sopranos, altos, tenors and basses to facilitate learning, convened on a whole Sabbath of June 3, 2017 for a yearly music empowerment of the Conference. Attended by three music coordinators--Ma’am Norlin Cadapan of the North Philippine Union Conference, Josie Felda Calera of the Central Luzon Conference, and Jadaza Hintay of the Cavite Satellite Field of Central Luzon Conference--who expounded music and its significance in the church to all delegates. Topics focused on the role of music in praise and worship and its importance in the life of the worshippers. Nonetheless, music leaders play a vital character to draw the congregation towards heaven’s taste of music.

The event ended having our attendees recommit themselves to ensure the Seventh-day Adventist church music in this end-time state of the world. Let the church hear our passion through Total Member Involvement in fulfilling the mission by calling all people in the territory to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the everlasting gospel embraced in the three angel’s messages, uphold the principles of Seventh-day Adventist Music and to prepare the world for Christ’s soon return.

We bring up all the glory and honor to GOD – the true inspiration of the Music ministers!

CLC Commissions 34 for Church Planting Ministry

February 12, 2018 • By Communication Department

After undergoing weeklong booth camp training, the Central Luzon Conference (CLC) Ministerial Association held a send-off ceremony for the 34 church planters in CLC Cucueco Hall on February 12, Monday. Through the leadership of Pastor Gerardo Cajobe, Ministerial Secretary, and his colleagues in the department, the church planters’ commissioning service came to its existence in 2015 to inspire and commit to the Lord the new workers in the field before they commence their ministry. Pastor Eliezer Barrientos, CLC Executive Secretary, gave the keynote message, motivating the church planters to be faithful to God and His word emphasizing the world’s church annual theme “Faithfulness to the Word.” Barrientos took his experience in the past as an example and lesson how God’s faithfulness drew Him to trust Him despite difficulties and shame. Further, he added that engaging in God’s work draws God’s people to be faithful to Him. “After this ceremony, you will be assigned to different places to preach God’s Word. You are to proclaim it. And when you do it, you become more faithful to God’s word and to Him day by day,” summoned Barrientos during his message. To validate their training, three participants shared their personal testimonies. Joel Pilartos who will be assigned in the rural area of Castaneda, Nueva Vizcaya, verbalized his physical and spiritual issues that were strengthened during the survival training, affirming the role of submission in any organization. Steven Sembrano, a young church planter who came from a family of soldiers, also acknowledged how the training inspired him to endure all things through faith. So is Rovel Pablo, who hails from Palawan, expressed his awe to God who called them despite of their background, described God as the consuming fire if they would only let Him rule their lives and ministry work. Finally, the 34 commissioned church planters received their certificates and church planting kits to start their journey towards proclaiming the Word and building congregations in the territory. The CLC Church Planting Project aims to reach the un-entered territories and municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Conference, creating Adventist presence through small congregations.... Young People Geared Up “In His Service”

January 7, 2018 • By Adventist Youth as related to Communication Department

There is an urgent call for the involvement of young people in evangelism. Once realized and achieved, active participation commences. So is the goal of the Central Luzon Conference Youth Advisory and Direction Setting on January 7 in Los Banos, Laguna. With the theme “In His Service,” 24 leaders from the 11 areas of the conference gathered to comprehend and apply leadership in the local church setting to fulfill God’s Commission for the upcoming evangelism explosion this year—Philippines for Christ 2018. Timely lectures and activities were presented and led by selected ministers who encouraged the youth to move forward recognizing the presence of the Lord before them. “In our leadership, God has promised His abiding presence, assisting help, and anchoring power once we truly commit our lives to Him,” said Pastor Uzziel Pardillo, associate pastor in Seventh-day Adventist Church in Baesa, Caloocan City. Attendees positively responded with the calling of Pastor Geronimo Viernes Jr., conference youth director, to depend on God and not on human power when it comes to witnessing. Area 6 Secretary Gen Camato commented, “I am glad to join such experience knowing that I can contribute something to witness for the Lord,” while Leo Ladores, Area 1 President, expressed thrilling sentiments: “I can say that I am now ready to promote, inform, and equip our young people about evangelism.”...
