The poignant cry of Central Luzon Conference Children’s Ministries comes within the innate capacities of every believer to religiously do the mission God has entrusted him/her particularly in the last phase of this world. When a believer is well-nurtured and discipled, the probability of retention is high.
Particularly, people at a young age are said to be the best platform of training. If done rightfully, children undergoing this course of action most likely are the ones who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. In this perspective, committed mentors and coaches are highly needed to cater the needs of today’s young kids, thus, this become the premise of why the department is holding an annual empowerment for leaders. The principle of preparing children to meet Jesus and nurturing them into a loving, serving relationship with Him for children remain to be the only treasures that we can take with us to heaven, is indeed a great challenge a church member can take. Through an intentional nurturing and discipling, these kids, when grown-up, will be retained in the church whatever happens.
Last February 17-19, 2017 – a time to call together all our Children’s Ministries leaders, Vacation Bible School, and Kids In Discipleship (K.I.D.) Coordinators to be empowered, for these people are key guides in inviting each child to know and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Besides, they play a major role in molding these kids to serve Him through their God-given and acquired capacities. This initiative conforms to this maxim: “Reach A Child, Reach The World; Every child a disciple of Jesus.”
There were 297 delegates who responded to the invitation and went through an intensive weekend seminar, training and workshop at the multi-purpose hall of Pasay Adventist Church. Certification Level 5 which emphasized on how to deal with children of today, the workshop and demonstration of Vacation Bible School 2017, and the K.I.D. Coordinators’ orientation gave a line of doses to lighten up the leaders’ saddle of responsibilities. Blessed by the intensed messages and lectures, every attendee went home with a renewed commitment to further serve this ministry at hand. God sent people to empower this group of key persons through Ma’am Delba De Chavez (NPUC Family Ministries Director), Ma’am Norlin Cadapan (NPUC Children’s Ministries Director), Pastor Nicolas Francisco (CLC Family Ministries Director), Ma’am Mila Deypalubos (CLC Women Ministries Director), Ma’am Lyne Dilag (PAC Family Ministries Coordinator), Ma’am Miriam Palma (PACES Principal) and Josie Felda Calera (CLC Children’s Ministries Director).
The organizers would like to extend their sincerest gratefulness to Pasay Adventist Church for its warm accommodation of our delegates by providing us the event hall and Pasay Adventist Academy for its church during the Sabbath service. Praise God for the opportunity of working with our leaders!
